Another year, another reading challenge. Last year I pledged to read 20 books in 2019, and I can proudly say that I surpassed my goal by reading and listening to 25 books. My favorites were definitely the biographies – listening to the authors tell you their life stories in their own voice will never get old. I also discovered Chick Lit/Romance author Jasmine Guillory. I don’t think I have anticipated another author’s book release since J.K. Rowling. Other honorable mentions include Candice Carty-Williams with Queenie and The Untelling by Tayari Jones. A few of my reads came from Reese Witherspoon’s book club from Audible, and she has not disappointed me yet. Since I surpassed my goal for 2019, I’m going to increase my 2020 goal to 25 books. I’m already reading one and listening to another, so I am excited to pass this goal as well. Below is the list of books that I read in 2019, in no particular order. What are your reading goals for 2020?
