Can we take a moment to travel back down memory lane to Black Opal Cosmetics? To me, this iconic brand is up there with Mary Kay and Fashion Fair. It is only fitting that they are staying on trend with their latest redesign and product launch. If you haven’t noticed, the old Black Opal branding is gone and has been replaced with a simple capitalized abbreviation – BLK/OPL. So trendy.
Their latest launch is called Aksanti, which means “thank you” in Swahili. Not only are you purchasing a quality iconic product, but 25% of the proceeds will go to Malaika, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to empower Congolese girls and their communities through education and health programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Aksanti has two collections – Maisha (life) and Malaika (angel) and showcases the beautiful artwork of French-Congolese artist Nicholle Kobi. (I love her work!) The Aksanti Color Collection launched on April 22, 2019, exclusively on blackopalbeauty.com, and ranges from $15-$35.
