Style Spotlight – Nafessa Williams

Cue the Chi-lites….Have you seen her? Her is Nafessa Williams. The first time I came across this beauty was in the 2011 film Streets (also starring Meek Mill and his braids). Not only was I captivated by her beauty and stage presence, but she just seemed very authentic. I can spot a Philly accent anywhere, and as soon as I looked up her bio, my hunch was confirmed. I also caught Williams on Instagram, being styled by another Philly native SoShearGenius. William’s style is a mix of glamour and around-the-way fashion that I love. She is currently starring in the CW’s Black Lightning as Anissa “Thunder” Pierce, the first Black lesbian superhero on television.
